TMNT Turtles in Time Re-Shelled- A 3 Minute Review by Charlie U.

Yay, video game review.

Do you remember Turtles in time for Super Nintendo and the Arcade? If you are old enough to remember now imagine the arcade game with PlayStation 2-esk graphics. For those who do not remember (or are too young) Turtles in time was a 2D side-scrolling beat'em up game (my favorite video game genre :-)). In the game you are able to select from each of the four turtles and you beat up on an endless amount of foot soldiers, and goons, until the end of a stage where you fight a boss, and ultimately the Turtle's arch enemy, Shredder. Now this game is a "Re-shelled" version of the ARCADE game, meaning less bosses, bad guys, levels, and the watering down of the jump kick, and no back flips. Some may feel that's fine, because that means its a true remake of the game, however I view it as an easy way to speed up a video game process, and make money with less effort. The Difference's between the original arcade version, and the re-shelled version is graphics. The game gets a graphic "upgrade" (now in 3D) which makes it look like a game that was released 7 years ago instead of the original 17, not good and could have been better. Besides that everything is identical. Unfortunately this hinders the game, because it can be beaten easily in one sit in, therefore killings its replay value. The game does supposed on-line play, but that's never as fun as playing with a group beside you (which luckily you can). "New" options are a survival mode, which is the same as the arcade mode just with one life, there is also a quick play mode where you can play a stage you have already completed, neither of these ad legit replay value to the game.

Overall, I would tell everyone to IGNORE IT. If you own the original, simply just replay it. If you are new to TMNT, and have Xbox Live then I would suggest getting TMNT Arcade 1989, it is half the price of this game and has similar features. If you do not own an Xbox360 or you can't handle pixelated goodness, then pick up one of the newer TMNT beat'em ups (with arguably better graphics) for PS2/Xbox, which you could also probably get for a fraction of this price of this game.

Hod Rod- A 3 minute review by Charlie U.

Usually I don't mess movie with reviews so bare with me. I apologize if it is not up to par with the other movie reviews up here....Hot Rod is a 2007 comedy that stars Andy Samberg, probably most known as a cast member on SNL, and a member of the Lonely Island. Without giving much away (not that there is much to give away), the movie is about a young stuntman (Samberg), and his crew attempting to raise money to help the stunt-man's father get surgery. The story itself, like most of the gags in the movie, are basic and pointless. The humor in the movie is mostly dumb humor, and at times feels like a really long skit from the Lonely Island (which makes sense considering it was directed by the same person). If stupidity and dumb humor are not your forte, then i would avoid the movie. However, if you have the ability to "turn off your brain" sort to speak (which i did) there is a good chance you will enjoy the movie, especially considering its relatively short running time. The movie mostly delivers quiet laughs, though there was a part or two where i laughed out loud.

Overall, I would recommend you WATCH IT, but ONLY IF YOU CAN SHUT OFF YOUR BRAIN. Borrow it from a friend or catch it on cable/satellite/fios because while I may have enjoyed it, the cast of the movie (most notable, Will Arnett) have been a lot funnier.

Green Lantern: First Flight

In brightest day, in blackest night,
No evil shall escape my sight
Let those who worship evil's might,
Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!

Green Lantern: First Flight is the newest installment of DC comics straight to DVD hour length movies. This story is big! Like all Green Lantern stories it takes place in space. Oa mostly and its the story of the first Adventure of Green lantern Hal Jordan who received the ring from dieing lantern Abin Sur. Once Hal has the ring of power he travels to Oa to get acquainted with his new co-workers and the Guardians. Sinerstro is a Green Lantern and if your a fan of GL you know where this story is gonna go.

First of all this movie looks amazing, in fact i might pick up the blu-ray cause id love to see it in HD. The story is also very well done and i like the fact that its PG-13 so they get away with a lot more as far as language and violence. The action is great and even has a very special appearance by my favorite lantern Ch'p. The voice acting is fantastic and the voice actors are ones of note as well (Michael Madson, Christopher Meloni, Trisha Helfer, and Red Forman himself Kurtwood Smith). This movie is really good and definitely worth a watch. If your a Green Lantern fan you really do want to pick this up on Blu-Ray cause it just looks amazing. My only concern about this movie stems not from this movie at all but the fact that i have no idea how they are gonna pull off the live action movie with Ryan Reynolds, its gonna be an expensive movie and I don't know if Hal Jordon has the fan base for a big opening weekend but i've been wrong before.

Hopefully we get a lot more of these movies cause there fun to watch and since Justice League Unlimited is off the air we don't get these awesome DC stories as much as we'd like. The next one is line is Superman/Batman: Public Enemies which as a Superman fan i cant wait to see.

So until next time I've been me and you have been awesome for reading thank you.

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince

Harry potter is a good story I know how it started I know how it ends. But I still get excited to see the movies when they come out. Even though The Order of The Phoenix was less than brilliant I just feel like I gotta see everything cause I’m such a fan of the story.

To start off I’d like to say the bad in this film slightly out weight the goods. So I did like this movie even though it felt like it was missing a lot. It felt like a cheese sandwich who doesn’t like cheese between two pieces of bread. Not I, I love it. But I’m always like you know what would make this better Turkey and ham you know meat and that’s what this movie lacks it felt like they scooped out the meaty bits and gave us a what was left, the base story without a lot to hold it together. It felt like this movie was basically a golf tee and “The Deathly Hallows” is the ball. So indeed this story is a set up for the next book (2 movies). So it shouldn’t be a surprise what this flick was. I dug the story, I dug this movie and I’m excited on how the next couple movies look. But this movie wasn’t my favorite (Prisoner of Azkaban) but wasn’t my least either (The Order of the Phoenix) it’ll get another watch when it hits stores but it won’t go down as the best. Which is weird that the last couple were both directed by David Yates. Maybe the next couple of them will be better third and fourth times the charm perhaps. This movie is a definite watch for Potter fans but if you haven’t seen the others watch those before checking this one out. Thanks for reading.

Warehouse 13

When I saw the commercial for this show I was excited I wanted to see a new show for the summer and it looked like an awesome premise. Two government agents sent to a hidden warehouse facility that holds some of the words most famous and unique items (ex. Houdini’s wallet, Lewis Carolls looking glass). The show is exec. Produced by Drew Z. Greenburg who worked on Buffy and some other shows I’m into so I thought I’d give it a try.

The pilot revolved around two secret service agents tapped by a secret sect of the government to retrieve these “special” items for cataloging. The agents also are not really happy about their situation protecting the president one minute getting a magic book the next. So as interested as they appear in finding these artifacts they also feel like their talents are being wasted. Anyway…….

The show has a very solid pieces but they don’t fit together right and frankly I would love to like this show but I don’t, I don’t hate it either. in fact my in deference towards it is a first for me. I usually hate everything. At this point the show has aired 2 episodes. The two hour pilot which felt like a millenia and a stand alone episode. This show is……..meh. That’s all I can say. I will give it a few more chances cause I want to like this show but its just so uninteresting. It might be the characters, it might be the story. I just don’t know. I don’t know if I will get through the whole season. Maybe I have to wait till season 2 for it to get good. I don’t have that kind of patience.

Warehouse 13 airs right before the scifi drama E.C.W. On Tuesdays at 9pm on the SyFy channel. Check out meh at its best. For now I’m outty 5000. Thanks for reading.

A Conversation

A random conversation between my cousin and me.

Charlie U: There is this girl who was singing. And she said her voice is a cross between fergie and jesus....i almost died.

Rafael U: lol what on earth would that sound like?

Charlie U: She sings fair...ly bad

Rafael U: Jesus wasn't known for his singing. And Fergie is but she's just ok at it so for once its the Jesus that brings her ratio down weird.

Charlie U: You know what is weird that shes kinda actually accurate

Rafael U: That is weird. Makes me re-think life. So when someone sings and they're bad. Don't say they need Jesus cause it'll make the singing worse. Life better, Singing worse. Hmmm

Charlie U: I heard Jesus was a sick beatboxer.

Rafael U: That's well documented and a awesome water skier. No boat needed amazing. Its all in there toward the end of the bible after the index.

Charlie U: I could have swore it was after the special introduction written by moses.

Rafael U: I got the dollar store version the first book is called "The Old Ass Testament"

Charlie U: Hah. Must be lutheran

Rafael U: It is. It also comes with a Luther Vandross cd.

Charlie U: I crack jokes like that to *** all the time.

Rafael U: Ooh is she Lutheran?

Charlie U: Yeh. And her fam is big on vandros too

Rafael U: Awesome tell her to get me a copy of limited edition King Labron James Bible.

Charlie U: lol

Adventureland

So i was bored and wanting to see something "new to me" so i decided to check out Adventureland directed by Superbad Director Greg Mattola. To start off i liked Superbad i thought it was funny even though Michael Cera played the same character he always plays in it but it was good none the less. But Michael Cera wasn't in this movie well Jesse Eisenberg was doing a great "Cera" impression almost to the point the guys are completely interchangeable in this role, that if they would of switched them mid movie no one would of noticed. This movie in the trailer is completely sold as a comedy, but its not funny at all. NOT ONE LAUGH. Its hella sweet in that i saw this coming a mile away cliched way. I didn't like this movie, i just don't think it knew what it wanted to be and when it was trying to tell the story i was just like " we've seen this all before but its taking place at a local amusement park. There were unimportant characters that just didn't need to be in this and Ryan Reynolds playing this awful subdued monotone douche and frankly he has never been worse. This movie was a complete waste of time for ME and is a definite pass for anyone over the age of 20.

Torchwood: Children of Earth

(possible mild spoiler alert)

So I got to see an "Advanced Screening" of Torchwood: Children of Earth before it aired next Monday July 20th on BBC America. The story picks up with Torchwood being the skeleton crew that they are now after the untimely death of Tosh and Owen at the end of series 2. So there in the hub doing there Torchwood thing looking for aliens and such and simultaneously all the children on the earth start saying "We are coming" of course this is a big red alert for Jack and crew and they go to investigate what is happening. This mini-series is 5 episodes long and what i like about the way they did it is they didn't spread it out over weeks or months they played it 5 days in a row. which is pretty cool. This story is a very dark one, its got it moments of lightheartedness but definitely not a happy story. Its got all the elements to a damn good Torchwood story so they didn't skip a beat. But after that ending i don't know they are going to do a proper 3rd season. I like most Doctor Who/Torchwood fans await the next installments of both series. Check it out on BBC America everyday next week starting the 20th of July 2009. This is a definite must Watch for any Torchwood fan and believe me when its over and done with you'll be just as inquisitive as i am one how they will go on!

A New York Mets Fans Lament

I'm gonna take a moment and talk a little sports with you now. Your regularly scheduled program will be with you shortly!

I've been a Mets fan all of my life. Since I could remember. My dad used to get tickets in the 80's and 90's and that's how I got into the team. I was 5 in 86 I wasn't really that much into then or old enough to remember the Miracle of 86. But I never gave up on my team EVER! They were my Mets through the years of bad trades to managers dressing up in disguises to hide from the umpires. Never got me down. For the first time in my life I don't care. I give up. Not cause I don't love my team, I do that's why I care that I don't care! Omar Minaya and Jerry Manuel are cancers on this team . They have to go! End of FUCKING story! They have made bad move after bad move after shitty move and I'm sick of it! They traded the only guy doing anything right now 1) cause he's the only bargaining chip they have left and 2) cause Manuel doesn't like him. Its gorram high school f'n nonsense and as Mets fans we shouldn't stand for it. Get the bums out. we a have billion dollar gorgeous stadium that has seen nothing but disappointment since they cracked the seal. I say run out the rest of the season and start a new next year with new management. Or don't expect to see this 20 year fan there. NO WAY, NOT ME, NOT NEVER! We have money spend it get us some bats get us Some pitchers. Get rid of the damn dead weight. Its frustrating and we should be better than this. I want to see my team in October. I want my parade dammit.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program.

Review of Fightstar "Be Human" by Charlie U.

UK Hard Rockers "Fightstar" have released there third Studio Album called "Be Human". This C.D stands out from the others due to its use of orchestra instruments and overall more pop-ish sound. The album starts off strong with "Calling On All Stations" which blends Fightstar's sound with orchestration elements flawlessly. The song is followed their first single off the album with another well done song, "The English Way" . However after this track the record appears to go down hill, the use of orchestra doesn't flow as well and as i stated before a good portion of the songs have a more pop feel, while this may not be a problem for new listeners of the band, but those who have listened to the band may not like the transition as much. Virtually all the other songs are sub-par at best, including a song or two which breaks from their new sound and returns to hard rock. Besides the two songs mentioned above, the only song that stands out is "Tonight We Burn", which makes the best out of both singers vocal abilities. Lyrical content of the c.d consist of typical Fightstar topics; Relationships, UK Politics, and a hint Sci-Fi. There lyrical style is fairly blunt yet very pleasant, easily my favorite part of the album.

Overall, "Be Human" displays Fightstar's flexibility with the rock genre, but this is accomplished by hindering of there sound. I would suggest you LISTEN to the C.D. Fightstar's my space currently has two singles from "Be Human" (www.myspace.com/fightstarmusic) and you can easily find the other tracks on YouTube. If you were in need to buy something of the c.d, the three songs i mention below would be best to buy, otherwise I'd recommend you check out one of there older albums. I recommend the c.d to those who are a fan of "Rock Opera", and I would tell you to avoid this if you listen to music only made in USA. I'd also like to point out if you purchase via itunes, you can get the bonus track "Unfamiliar Ceilings", which is an acoustic version of an older Fightstar song. I have not heard this version but the original song felt out of place for the band (hence the name I suppose).

Recommended Tracks: Calling On All Stations, The English Way, and Tonight We Burn
Not Recommended: The Other Nine Tracks On The C.D

Review of Star Trek: First Contact

I'm not the biggest Star Trek fan but I do enjoy it. I have not gone to the extent of labeling my fandom of the franchise as of yet. I've seen 4 Trek movies up to this point and enjoyed them all to varying degrees. First one was Wrath of Khan which is just an awesome Sci-fi movie. Second was Generations which wasn't spectacular but I enjoyed it just the same. Then came JJ Abrams "Star Trek" which is just phenomenal enough cannot be said about this fantastic "re boot" to the series. Yesterday I got from Netflix Star Trek: First Contact. I really dug this movie without really knowing much of the back story. Picard is here so is the standard TNG gang. The story circles around the return of the Borg and there here to assimilate everybody and resistance is usually futile. Picard still has remnants of the Borg implants that he got put in when he was assimilated in a 2 part episode of the show so he can here them talking in his head. Also when the borg escape from destruction from the enterprise they create a time vortex that bring them to the day before the warp drive is created and there for having "first contact" with an alien race.when the away team is sent down to make sure the ship is created on time. Back on the Enterprise the borg is slowly taking over the ship deck by deck and making quick work of the red shirts. Data is captured and the Borg queen implants human parts to make him feel more real to try to convince him to be part of the collective. When the ship is almost Completely over run by Borg it is suggested they abandon ship. Picard with revenge in his heart refuses to leave the ship to take down the Borg. I'm not to thrilled with Picard in this movie he seems extremely week and let's his feelings control him to the point he's a little bitchy. Warf and Data are the MVPs of the flick with them both kicking some borg ass. I liked this movie and is considered to be one of the best Trek movies made. Its a Definite Buy for new Trek fans (old ones should already have it) and Watch for your casual SciFi fans. Check it out. Thanks for reading. Till next time.

Review of Fanboys

To say I'm into Star Wars is a understatement in the truest sense of the word. It was what brought me into my geekdom, so when I saw the trailer to this movie what seems like 5 years ago I was ecstatic finally a movie for people like me that wasn't Completely making fun of us. When I found out about the cancer sub plot and how they wanted to break into Skywalker Ranch to steal a print because there friend wasn't gonna make it to see it in the theater was just a really cool thing to do. It wasn't making just a normal slapstick B&E caper they had a purpose. So after many trailers and re cuts (to exclude the cancer sub plot) and just plain "development hell" this movie didn't get the release it deserved to say limited release would be an insult to the word I don't even think it played in 4 or 5 theaters in NYC for pete's sake. So when I finally got to see it on DVD (suspicious no Blu-Ray version). I saw that Harvey and Bob decided to put it out with the original Cancer sub plot which really made the movie better. The story in short is about a group of friends who used to hang out in high school and one of these guy stopped talking because he "grew up" and didn't want to sit around and talk "Wars" all the time. So he finds out about his best friend from childhood has terminal cancer and wants to try to break into the Lucas camp to watch Episode 1 a scheme they planned as teens. So after some convincing they embark on a cross country trip in there geek van to go see this movie. Hijinks ensue, the occasional run in with "trekkers" and cops. The movie is just well thought out and quite funny. Jay Baruchel is always entertaining along with Kristen Bell who is just awesome in this and frankly everything. the rest of the cast do really well in this highly rewatchable movie. Now Dan Fogler i don't have a problem with him its just he gets cast as Jack Black in every movie i have seen him in i don't get that. My favorite line in the movie is when one of the character tells Sam Huntingtons "Eric" "its nice to see you back in uniform" when he wears a Star Wars shirt after wearing mostly button down shirts. This a is a definite BUY for any Star Wars fan or any ol' geek like myself. Make it so and may the force be with you. Thanks for reading. Till next time.

Review of Eyeshine's "My Paper Kingdom" by Charlie U.

"My Paper Kingdom" is the second full-length album by Eyeshine who's front-man, Johnny Yong Bosch, is largely known for his work in Power Rangers, and for his voice work in anime, and video games. From the opening track "Break the Clouds" to the end track "California Bound" Kingdom contains a (mostly) varied rock sound. Each song has its own defined sound to the point where one may question if it's all from the same C.D, which is not always a bad thing. In terms of instrumentals, Kingdom delivers different types of tempos and melodies that only tend to fall flat on guitar solos which at times resembles cheesy 80's hair bands. Lyrically, the c.d differs as well, with topics ranging from breakdowns to energetic motivators to criticisms of the band. The style of lyrics continue the varied trend by being straightforward at times, and other times using heavy symbolism, however the lyrics unify by the use of catchy one-liners. This results in a mixed bag, because while songs like "Let it Out" shine due to this, others like "Alone" seem to just be thrown together, appearing incoherent. Bosch's vocals are respectable but in several tracks he uses a voice filter where, out side of the opening track, seems a bit unnecessary.

Overall, "My Paper Kingdom" should have at least a few tracks to please virtually any rock fan, so I suggest you BUY IT! at the bands website (www.eyeshine.net). For ten dollars it is worth the money especially since band members are willing to sign the C.D if you ask via paypal request. I strongly recommend this C.D to indie rock fans looking for something new that has something for every mood. I suggest you avoid it if you dislike Power Rangers, and English anime dubs.

Recommended Tracks: Break the Clouds, Fighting, Let it Out, Crush Me
Not Recommended: Like the Others, Something More.

The Summer So Far and What is Lies Ahead by Rafael U.

So this summer as far as blockbusters go has been kinda of a bust there are very few movies still coming out that look good. The hangover was not a blockbuster at all but was really funny we get like 2 or 3 of those type comedies a year and it just really was a fun movie to watch. Star Trek made me go back and watch every thing I can get my hands on as far as Trek goes. So I'm a fan to say the least. Up is Pixar and they have never made a bad movie period they know what there doing and with this movie is no exception this movie was gorgeous from start to finish and worth the watch. It was a really wonderful, touching story. Night at the Museum 2 was a waste of my time. I was a fan of the first cause it was inventive and original. The second one felt stale and rushed which is never a good combo. Wolverine Origins was just OK I remember liking scenes like in X3 but enjoying it more than X3. I'm a big Deadpool fan and Ryan Reynolds will make it up to The Merc with the mouth's fans in a Deadpool solo movie. Unfortunately I didn't get to see the new Terminator film a mixture of lack of time and my complete distaste for Christian Bale in Dark Knight the year before. I just didn't get to, I will rent the Blu-Ray though. Land of the Lost, with me being a fan of the original show and the 90's remake I checked it out, I thought it was pretty funny nothing too spectacular but definitely a good watch. Now for what's to come for example GI Joe: what would happen if we all dressed up like Master Chief from Halo looks bad. The fact we haven't seen cobra commander in the ads at all makes me wonder why and also why all the trailers are basically showing all the same clips from the movie just edited differently. Harry Potter looks awesome and hopefully it won't be a cluttered mess that the last one was. It was my least favorite and this one is directed by the same cat....sigh... So we will see. Bruno is gonna be funny like Borat was but I don't think its gonna have the same impact as its predecessor. I am really looking forward to Public Enemies cause I love to see Johnny Depp act the man is just that damn good and as Dillinger which should be a different role for him. Its gonna be great no matter how much Christian Bale sucks lately. I will give a proper review to the Movies as I see them and to be honest this year is really turning out to be luke warm as far as movies go I hope it gets better or were gonna see a lot of reviews for older movies on here. Again thanks for reading. Till next time.

Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen by Rafael U.

Please forgive the length of this review i just need to vent :)

I'm about to turn 28 in November so you can say i lived in the hey day of 80s cartoons brilliance. This list could go on and on. I watched the "Transformer" G1 cartoon as a kid never was big into it, never had any of the action figures. But a fan non the less. Two years ago ago when Michael Bay came out with the first i was uber excited and couldn't wait to see it and i did 3 times in fact LOVED THIS MOVIE! told people it was the greatest thing since...ever. Until about 3 weeks ago i was still a fan of the first and waiting for the second with slight reservation only based on the disdain i had for every trailer released for the flick. So i watched the first one again 3 weeks ago and hated it. it had been since it was new on DVD since i had seen it. I just couldn't wrap my head around the fact that it just wasn't as good as i remembered. So this of course added to my wariness about the second. So when i came out what did i do? I read the reviews and asked my friends at work who had seen it to tell me what they thought. All the reviewers I respect hated it and my friends at work saw the second coming.Until.........

I saw the piece of shit! all i want to see is a well put together 2 hour robot war. I want to see STARSCREAM my favorite of them all grow some balls. I'm gonna slow down. The movie opened great it was really setting up to be awesome. Until the The Witwicky family showed its ugly head then the "Hilarity" ensued. The fact the family was in it didnt bother me , the fact that Sam was having problems leaving his "unfairly hot Megan Fox" girlfriend when he goes away to college didnt either. What did in fact bother me was the hour it took to tell the story of these as far as im concerned non robotic wastes of film. The mom gets high on pot brownies ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! So Sam in college and he gets these visions of Cybertronian symbols and cue "The Fallen" with the Decepticons to try to open ol' Sammys brain up and get what they need to get more energon to of course take over Earth. The Autobots are here to as you might expect lead by Optimus Prime and guess what the Autobots from the first werent as interesting as you remember them being so they were sent to the background story and NOW BATTING Skids and Mudflap the Marlon Wayons of this movie but there is two of them and there offensive they had a gold tooth and talked in Jive almost. My friend Erik who i saw this with (he Hated it too) said they were the Jar Jar Binks of this movie. Well said sir so good in fact i almost took credit for it. So the twins sucked, the story sucked. The CG looked ultra fake. Did i like anything? The answer is yes the robot fight scenes, some not all were pretty awesome to watch. I liked the (Spoiler) Constructicon (Spoiler) i thought that was pretty cool. I didnt have that same "Fanboy" clouded mind that i did when the first came out. Maybe that was my problem I should just drink the Kool-aid and say it was so pretty and awesome but it wasn't. It made me sad it has so much potential and it just wasnt any good at all. To Michael Bay, I hated this movie but i loved Bad Boys 2. Its Rated PG-13 for alot of dirty language and robot violence. If your planning to see it in the theater see it in IMAX at least you'll get some cool visuals, but if your not in a rush wait till it comes out on Blu-Ray and hope a friend buys it and "Watch it" try not to pay for it at all. But right now im done witht his movie and i will talk to you soon. Thanks for reading

Black Sheep (2006) by Rafael U.

Back in 2006 me and girlfriend were watching TV and we saw the trailer for Black Sheep and immediately wanted to see it when It got to theaters. Like most indie films the theater here didn't play it, so we forgot about it and when we didn't see any ads for the DVDs that added to our absent mindedness. So last weekend we were checking the on-demand channels and we came across it and were elated. Anywho the movie takes place in New Zealand where apparently the population is for every person there is 40 sheep. So what makes these Sheep bat shit crazy genetic modification my favorite of the animal mods. Basically these sheep bite you become a sheep, like zombie! and they enjoy the taste of people. Here's the kicker you see a dude get bit by crazy sheep right? You got a few hours before he's a sheep right? (Pow) sucker punched in the face by a damn 6 foot flesh eating SHEEPLE! This movie doesn't stop with the over the top gore and constant Sheep attacks. Its about a buck and half in running time and you should be able to pick it up at blockbuster if you can find one or get it on Netflix. I highly recommend this movie for the utter silliness and over the top "B" movie brilliance. This is a definite "Must See" for any Horror movie fans also for any zombie movie fans . Thanks for reading. Till next time

Inglorious Basterds 2nd Trailer by Rafael U.

So I clear up any worry all my reviews will not be Nazi related promise.

I'm a huge Tarantino guy in fact Reservoir Dogs is in my top 5 favorite films I like it way better than "Fiction" for little reasons but reasons non the less. Anyway the first trailer got me intrigued but I wasn't completely sold on it other than it was Quentins film. But this new trailer is really good Its almost like QT cut it himself(who knows he might of) it really got the Tarantino vibe to it, truth be told it feels to me like a new Grind House movie but I'm gonna go back and watch his other trailers to see If they all have that feel. The dialog is brilliant I can't believe its Brad Pitts first Tarantino film he fits so well in it. The only issue I have albeit unwarranted is Eli Roth. I don't know his body of work I'm not really into his type of flick so I didn't see the Hostels but he might be an awesome addition this jury is still out on that. I am really excited about this it looks violent which apparently is what I'm into right now (& Deep Space 9). The dialog will be witty and verbose the music will be on point all thing you'd expect from a QT film. Absolutly See it, Then Buy it. Check the trailer out. Thanks for reading. Talk to you soon

Review of Dead Snow (Død Snø) by Rafael U.

I was looking for a good new Zombie movie to watch ( who isn't all the time right?) and i came across the trailer for Dead Snow (Død Snø) a Norwegian Zombie Nazi flick directed by second time director Tommy Wirkola starring a bunch of actors whose name not only escape me but i don't think my computer has the ability to handle the umlauts to spell there names anyway. So i checked it out. THIS MOVIE FUCKING OWNED!!! One of the best zombie flicks I've seen in a couple years. The funny parts translated well in the subtitles and the gore was brilliant and brutal (it can be both apparently). You got your standard horror movie elements but they work here cause its an homage with out being a cover song. With out hitting the spoiler alert these walking dead aren't your typical sort (Brain dead type or the virus type) they have to have some sort of functional brain cause they obey orders and although they do enjoy human entrails its not there objective. They also threw in pop culture references to other flicks and really took advantage of the snowy background and the feeling of being alone in that environment. Do yourself a favor and check it out either in its limited theatrical release or when the DVD comes out pick it up. Definite Buy it for the zombie fan.
